I illustrate for children, and anyone who has ever remembered something small and smiled.
My work captures the poetry of the everyday, with warmth, whimsy, and wonder, inviting readers to cherish little moments that make life beautiful.

Mountains of Mumbai
A story of longing and friendship, this picture book explores the idea of home through the eyes of a child.
I used watercolours to bring this bustling coastal city to life, not just for those visiting, but for the people who live here too. The illustrations follow the rhythm of the story, making each spread feel open and full of little moments to discover.
This book was published in India, North America and founds its way to libraries and in hearts of children all over the world.

Paati’s Rasam
A tender story about food, grief, and familial love. The illustrations in Paati’s Rasam are richly textured and full of warmth, bringing to life the comforting rituals of everyday life. My visual choices echo the emotional shifts in the story, from sorrow to solace, through color, detail, and composition.

Paro of the Sundarbans
Illustrations for a richly imagined picture book set in the vast mangrove forest of Sundarbans—merging narrative depth with vivid, expressive watercolours.

Golden Sportspersons
Thirty three Portrait-style illustrations blend realism with approachability, highlighting each sportsperson’s unique energy and persona. The palette and composition nod to vintage sports aesthetics while remaining accessible to younger readers.
These illustrations are designed to be reminiscent of collectible cards, making them visually engaging and easy to relate to.

Badbadgeet
A joyful jumble of poetry and play, the Badbadgeet books celebrate the whimsical world of children’s language. Each bilingual book blends Marathi with Telugu or Malayalam, using rhythm, rhyme, and delightful gibberish to spark giggles and imagination. Illustrated with warmth and humour, these stories bring alive the poetry of childhood in every sing-song syllable.

Marathi-First Storybooks
Art direction and design for a series of 10 early-reader picture books for Pratham Books, originally written in Marathi and developed for a multilingual publishing platform. The series was created to introduce young readers to engaging, culturally rooted stories through accessible language and visually compelling narratives. Each book was designed to work both as a standalone story and as part of a cohesive series, with thoughtful visual storytelling and layouts that support early literacy while allowing the books to adapt across multiple languages.
